Another week, another batch of awesome '80s links, as collected from Internet points both big and small..

1. Great Scott, it's a hovercraft DeLorean! With something like this, you really don't need roads but can it get up to 88 MPH?

3. Here's a supercut of famous movie sunglasses, which includes some genuine '80s touchstones: Back to the Future, Top Gun, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. How many can you identify? (Answers here).

4. On a related note, Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, the actress Mia Sara, resurfaced this week in Manhattan. Girl, you so fine...

7. Axel Rose and his band of rock & roll mercenaries — that is, the paper fiction known as Guns 'N Roses – have scheduled a 12-show residency in Las Vegas in October and November to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction's release. Astute fans might remember the poster art below, which was included with original pressings of the record but later pulled on account of its graphic imagery.

8. One of my favorite Atari games, Pitfall!, has been remade for the smart phone/smart tablet era.
