These 80s McDonald’s characters made it fun to eat at McDonald’s and sent the companies marketing team on a creative tear. Today, McDonald’s is turning to sponsorships more than ever before.
Most recently, the company partnered with The Angry Birds for promotion, straying away from their own characters. Items like the McPizza are also things of the past.
“McPizza was a pizza product that McDonald’s attempted starting in the 1980’s,” McDonald’s WIKIA.
“The pizza originally began as a family-sized pizza that was brought out to the table by an employee and placed on a raised rack in the centre of the table.”
