80s Gaming Consoles Transformed into Handheld Versions

As the holiday season is in its final stretch, we find ourselves looking at gifts for others. If you do happen to be an 80s fan and think that you deserve to treat yourself to a gift, you may want to check out these 80s gaming consoles that have been transformed into handheld versions.

Urban Outfitters is a store that some out say, caters to “hipsters.” However, while browsing the site, we found some pretty clear gems. The company has listed a Sega Handheld Portable Game Player as well as an Atari Flashback Handheld Portable Game Player. These are two of the greatest 80s gaming consoles to date and now they are literally in the palm of your hands.

The items carry a price of $68 each which is not bad considering the package. The Sega version of the player offers a whopping 85 built-in game options. That’s more than enough to keep you busy while you’re waiting for Christmas dinner. Sonic, PAC-PANIC, Phantasy Star and Mortal Kombat are just some of the games listed in the description of the Sega player.

These consoles seem similar to Nintendo’s rerelease of the NES and Super NES classic consoles that were miniature versions of the original. We’re definitely fans of these options that enable to by-pass trying to hunt down the correct cables for older consoles. The full feeling may not be there but enjoying 80s titles like Sonic will still usher in a feeling of nostalgia.
