The 1988 fantasy flick, Willow, turns 30 this year. Along with heroism, babies, babes and sword fights, this movie really has it all.

The story was written by George Lucas, who also wrote films like Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark, to name a few.
The devil dogs that tore through the village looking for Elora were actually rottweilers in rubber masks and suits.
Madmartigan and Sorsha were married in real life after meeting on the film, though their relationship did end in divorce.
The film hired 225-240 “little people.” This was the largest ever casting call at the time according to Willow (Warwick Davis.)

As far as fantasy flicks go, this movie made a good chunk of change. This was impressive for the genre especially after the fantasy flops like Dragonslayer and Legend.
