What would this generation do without Netflix? Well, 80s fans should also be thankful as the company intends on bringing She-Ra, a popular 80s character back. She-Ra and The Princesses of Power is an animated series set to release pretty soon via Netflix.
A trailer for the series was released and though it is an animated series, it looks pretty intense. She-Ra is He-Man’s twin sister and both characters were incredibly popular during the 80s.
“The colourful clip traces orphan Adora’s origins, her chance encounter with the magical sword that transforms her into her ‘eight-foot tall’ super alter-ego, and the banding together of the titular princesses,” according to EnGadget.
“Friendships are formed, wisecracks are served, and the empirical Evil Horde of Planet Etheria is handed an almighty a**-whooping.”
The show is being brought to us under the DreamWorksTV company and is set for a streaming date of November 16.
“Adora’s destiny turns out to be far greater than she could have ever imagined,” according to DreamWorksTV’s description.
“As the legendary warrior princess, She-Ra, it’s up to her and a spirited group of rebel princesses to restore balance in Etheria by defending it from the place she once called home.”
It will be very interesting to see just how nostalgic the show can be, despite being created for a new group of young fans. Are you excited for a new She-Ra Netflix series? Let us know in the comments section below.
