80s Party Decorations Stories: Pulling It All Together 80s Style

We LOVE to receive great 80s party stories like this one. Thanks so much, Ben, for sharing your ideas and pictures. We are sure other visitors can get some great ideas when planning their own 80s party from what Ben did.

First off I want to say that you guys have an awesome site and that I believe it is one that is desperately needed for people who love the 80’s. I stumbled onto your site while planning for an 80’s party of my own which I was throwing for some simple fun with friends. I had an idea of what I wanted but it wasn’t until I hit your site that I was able to put everything together. I took the idea of hanging some of our favorite 80’s move posters as decoration. I used neon colors as much as possible and tried to get as many plates and napkins that were related to the 80’s as well; I scored in a Party City store with plates from My Little Pony and Napkins from Care Bears, Transformers (the old cartoon style) and Strawberry Shortcake. I was also able to find at the party store party favors like mini Magic 8-balls, Super Mario little games, Jelly bracelets, My Little Mini Packs and a few other small things. For food we stuck to the 80’s as much as possible . . . Ring Pops, Push Pops, Pixi Sticks, Twix, Crush Orange Soda, Capri Sun, Big League Chew, Bubble Tape, Nutter Butter, Fig Newtons and for hot food Chicken McNuggets and Pizza. We also had the basic alcohol as well as Wine Coolers. The party was a blast and I just wanted to share a few images with you from it. Enjoy and Thank you again!

Thanks,
Ben
